International Forum for Jewish Music Studies (IFJMS)
The International Forum for Jewish Music Studies (IFJMS) is a network of scholars, archivists and practitioners working in Jewish music. It aims to connect, communicate and create ongoing activity in the aspects of Jewish music.
The IFJMS created the Jewish Music group on Humanities Commons, where members can share information and ideas, post research queries, notify members of relevant events, exchange documents, teaching materials and papers, collaboratively edit documents, discuss methodology and theory in Jewish music studies. Members may upload their profile, present their research focus and key activities. Working groups can be established to highlight special topics.
The IFJMS organizes regular online conversations via video conference.
IFJMS looks forward to collaborating and working with other Fora or organisations who have very similar goals.
