Jewish Music Studies Ensemble

As a component of the musicological research and teaching at the HMTMH, the European Center for Jewish Music is dedicated to the research, teaching, and dissemination of Jewish Music. The Centre engages with Jewish music in all its diverse manifestations, from synagogue chants and paraliturgical traditions to the secular music of Jews in various cultural contexts and eras.

The ensemble provides students of the HMTMH with the unique opportunity of experiencing Jewish music in performance and learn about its performative aspects. Students of all academic concentrations are encouraged to apply if interested.
